Due to the network outage to European continent, TM announced that internet connection will be disrupted and will be fixed by 31st Decmber 2008. Later the Streamyx still sucks to the max and they announced that the connection will be fixed by 4th January 2009. Today is already 6th January and it still at large.

The problems is due to the link outage to the europe and wtf it has to do with local network or the same network under TM itself?
Access to most of the local hosted website nearly like an antique dialup, i could say worst than that! can u imagine u get all the “timeout” error when browsing, ftp and even sending email with small size attached document. Look at this for example:

Perkhidmatan Internet TM terganggu akibat kerosakan sirkit sistem kabel dasar laut

KUALA LUMPUR 21 Dis. — Perkhidmatan internet Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) kini terganggu akibat kerosakan sirkit sistem kabel dasar laut yang menghubungkan Malaysia dan Eropah.

TM berkata, kerja-kerja membaik pulih kerosakan sirkit Southeast Asia Middle Eastern and Western Europe 4 (SMW4) antara Palermo, selatan Itali dan Alexandaria, utara Kaherah sedang dijalankan dan perkhidmatan dijangka beroperasi seperti sediakala pada 31 Disember ini.
