The problems is due to the link outage to the europe and wtf it has to do with local network or the same network under TM itself?
Access to most of the local hosted website nearly like an antique dialup, i could say worst than that! can u imagine u get all the “timeout” error when browsing, ftp and even sending email with small size attached document. Look at this for example:

I subscribed to streamyx since 2003 and what i can tell is their services in early years is far more better than today. At this very moment, actually since early december last year till now, i couldn’t even send email with attached documents or files, i couldn’t post a blog with images, i couldn’t use online banking facilities properly, i couldn’t renew some of my domain names and many more frustrations.

I did read their TOS which was sounds like, “service at our best effort only” something like that but can u see any effort by them other than stupid mega promotion on all type of medias

.. this will be a long post if i dont stop for now but what i wanted to say is Streamyx and TM is really disappointed. SUCKS! STREAMYX SUCKS! TM SUCKS!

Perkhidmatan Internet TM terganggu akibat kerosakan sirkit sistem kabel dasar laut

KUALA LUMPUR 21 Dis. — Perkhidmatan internet Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) kini terganggu akibat kerosakan sirkit sistem kabel dasar laut yang menghubungkan Malaysia dan Eropah.

TM berkata, kerja-kerja membaik pulih kerosakan sirkit Southeast Asia Middle Eastern and Western Europe 4 (SMW4) antara Palermo, selatan Itali dan Alexandaria, utara Kaherah sedang dijalankan dan perkhidmatan dijangka beroperasi seperti sediakala pada 31 Disember ini.

Berikutan dengan masalah tersebut, pelanggan perkhidmatan internet TM akan alami sambungan internet yang perlahan ketika melayari laman-laman web yang dihoskan di Eropah, katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Katanya, sementara mereka yang menggunakan perkhidmatan Protokol Internet (IP) yang lain seperti Rangkaian Persendirian Maya (VPN) serta aplikasi perniagaan kritikal yang dihubungkan ke Eropah juga mungkin mengalami gangguan perkhidmatan.

Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, beberapa laluan internet telah dialihkan ke sambungan alternatif bagi mengurangkan kesesakan, katanya.

TM berkata, berikutan kerja membaik pulih, trafik ke Amerika Utara dijangka akan mengalami gangguan, sementara trafik ke negara lain adalah seperti sediakala.
