Putrajaya Perdana Berhad, a company listed in the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd & Putra Perdana Development Sdn Bhd, have over the years designed, developed and built several billion ringgit worth of prestigious commercial, residential and infrastructural projects in the country and NOW, it is time for the Group to help to develop the youth of the nation and to build a better future for them by offering scholarships to young, deserving and needy Malaysian students who would otherwise be denied of higher education due to financial constraints.

The Scholarship

1. Up to RM4,000/7,000 per academic year for Diploma/Degree programmer respectively.
2. Open to financially needy and academically deserving students to pursue in local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics.
3. Successful Scholars, upon completion of their respective courses and graduation from local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics shall be required to serve as an employee of PBB or any of its subsidiaries for 2 years (subject to vacancy)

Field of Study

Degree/Diploma in:
1. Civil/Structural Engineering
2. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
3. Quantity Surveying

To Qualify

1. Malaysian citizen
2. Full-time student
3. Has gained acceptance into local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics
4. Good SPM/STPM results or other relevant results
5. Currently not holding any other scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from any organisations.

Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad Undergraduate Scholarship 2008

Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad wishes to invite all interested Malaysian students curently pursuing or intending to pursue undergraduate degree or diploma programme / course in Agriculture and any related discipline or in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Civil Engineering at any local universities to appy for the above scholarship. Successful applicants will receive up to maximum of RM7000 per annum.

Application can be obtained at:
(a) the Head Office of Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad as stated below, or

and all application forms should be delivered to:

Request for form must be accompanied by:
(a) A copy of the latest examination results (SPM/STPM/University or equivalent)
(2) A stamped (50 cents) self addressed envelope size 16cm x 23 cm.

Conditions For Application

1. Only Malaysian Citizens are eligible to apply
2. Applicants should possess good academic qualifications and should be active in school.
3. The scholarships are for all Malaysian students only.
4. Applicants must be a full-time student reading for a first degree or diploma in Agriculture / Engineering related courses to be eligible to apply.
5. Courses must be accredited by LAN and undertaken and completed in Malaysia.
6. Applicant who has no other scholarship / sponsorship.

Completed application forms should reach the SOPB Scholarship Committees no later than 15 June 2008
